OrderMyGear Unveils Live Inventory Feed, Promotes Kaplan

OrderMyGear, which late last month announced a groundbreaking technology partnership with the Sports Inc. buying group, used he occasion of the groups’ Fall Meeting in Las Vegas last week to launch its Live Inventory feed built from partnerships with five of the biggest brands in the team dealer industry — Under Armour, Adidas, Augusta Sportswear Brands, SanMar and Founder Sport Group.

Team dealers who use OrderMyGear for their group online stores now have the ability to see direct inventory feeds from those brands, simplifying their store building process, allowing them to fill stores with healthy-inventory products and proactively replace low-inventory products.

OrderMyGear expects the Live Inventory feed to increase the volume of product sold through the platform while reducing the amount of backorder problems that occur in the ordering and fulfillment process.

Also late last month, OrderMyGear announced the promotion of Matt Kaplan to senior VP–revenue. In this newly created role, Kaplan will oversee the acquisition of new business, manage the success of the more than 2500 OrderMyGear clients, continue to build relationships with industry partners and implement operational efficiencies.

As he will be accountable for all touch points of the client experience, Kaplan will oversee the Business Development, Sales and Customer Success Teams within OrderMyGear. He will report directly to CEO Dave Dutch.

Kaplan brings more than 17 years of experience in the sporting goods industry. He began his career at Under Armour in 2002, one of its original employees, managing product lines across multiple business units and played an integral role in the brand's initial launch in to the European market in 2006. In 2012 Kaplan became the director of team sports at Under Armour focused on authenticity and cementing the brands status on-field at all levels throughout the U.S.
